House Saints

At St Cuthbert’s, all children are grouped in houses. Each house has a patron saint: St. Aebbe, St. Aidan, St. Bede, St. Cuthbert, St. Godric and St. Hild. 

Children can earn house points in class for a variety of reasons including good work, lovely handwriting, being kind, lovely manners, trying hard. These points are then added at the end of the week for each class and then announced in our weekly celebration assembly. The house with the most house points at the end of the term receives a House treat – time together in the hall with toys, a drink and a snack. 

For some school events, such as Sports Day the children will compete in their House teams, wearing their house colour.   

Each year, one House Captain and one Vice Captain are voted from our Year 6 children to represent each of our 6 Houses.
