Visit to Hall Hill Farm
Reception played ‘The floor is lava’ in PE. They had to jump onto the various pieces of PE equipment and were not allowed to touch the floor.
Reception Class have been learning about wildlife with Sammy from MammalWeb.
World Book Day
On World Book Day we sang nursery rhymes, played nursery rhyme lotto and completed some puzzles. We also made a collage of nursery rhyme characters.
Visit to the Oriental Museum
Reception Class visited the Oriental Museum for Chinese New Year. We dressed up as the animals from the Chinese Zodiac, made shadow puppets and performed a dragon dance.
Reception Class enjoyed investigating different materials that might float or sink.

UNICEF Rights Respecting
Some of our Year 6 pupils have been sharing liturgies with Reception Class. In November their theme has been respect and they have collected their prayers and smiles in connection with the UNICEF Rights Respecting award.
During Anti-Bullying Week, Reception also talked about how to be kind online and how to use the Internet safely.
First Few Weeks
Our Reception Class children are settling well in their new environment, making new friends and discovering new activities.
The children are getting used to the routines of school lunch and the difficult task of choosing what to have to eat.
