Hall Hill Farm
It was our trip to Hall Hill Farm on Wednesday (30/6). We had such fun feeding all the different animals and it made us think about all the wonderful things in our world.
Sports Day
RSE
Reception class were naming body parts in our RSE last week.
Paralympics
Reception Class learnt how to play a new game called ‘boccia’.
We had to bowl the balls towards the cone and the winner was the child who managed to bowl the ball nearest to the cone.
Fun Run
The fun run was great, we got squirted with water, bounced on space hoppers and got chased by a crocodile!

National Day of Reflection
World Book Day
Reception had lots of fun dressing up for world book day! We read the story Beegu by Alexis Deacon and painted and created our own aliens.
Autumn Term
Party Time
Reception class had lots of fun playing Musical Statues, Corners and Musical Bumps today at our Christmas Party. We also enjoyed watching the Christmas pantomime performance. It was very funny!
Hallowe’en
Happy Hallowe’en from Reception Class! We all dressed up to celebrate Hallowe’en today with one of our favourite authors, Julia Donaldson’s ‘Room on the Broom’. We listened and joined in with the story, and then had our own puppet show to retell it. The children really enjoyed pumpkin painting, building their own spooky houses in the construction area and making witches potions outside. We love Hallowe’en!!

Our First Half Term in School
Reception class have thoroughly enjoyed their first half term in school! We have been very busy and had lots of fun making new friends, getting settled in school and playing in all the areas of the classroom.
This half term we have been reading the book, ‘Here We Are’ by Oliver Jeffers and have used this to spark discussions on how we can look after our planet.
We are very proud of our Autumn work and have enjoyed collecting conkers, making hedgehog burrows and opening our outdoor Hedgehog Cafe (conker juice, anyone?)
