Admissions – Starting Our School

Introduction

We invite all prospective parents to contact the school office to make an appointment to view our school. Open Days are also held throughout the year, these will be advertised on our social media platforms.

We also have a few spaces available in other year groups, please do not hesitate to contact us on telephone no: 0191 3882305 or email stcc@stcc.bwcet.com should you like to move your child to our school. Applications are made through Durham County Council via this link .

Admission Process for Reception Class Applicants for September 2025

The admissions process for September 2025 is now open. If you would like your child to start our Reception Class in September 2025, please make an application through Durham County Council by following this link. Applications close, midnight, Wednesday 15th January 2025.

Nursery

Our Nursery provides a stimulating, fun and secure environment which allows children to flourish by learning through play. They will develop a love of learning and gain a strong foundation for starting school.

Our classroom and outdoor space aims to provide the best learning experiences for all our children, whatever their needs may be. We pride ourselves on understanding how children grow, develop and learn effectively. We will provide creative, engaging, hands-on activities that foster resilience and a ‘can do’ attitude both indoors and outdoors.

Making an application…

Children may attend our nursery from the school term after their third birthday, until they start school. If you have a child that is about to turn 3 please contact the school office. Applications for a ‘rising three year old’ may be considered should places be available.

To apply for a place in our Nursery please complete the registration form below, alternatively there is a downloadable application form to print out and complete. Paper copies are also available from the school office.
