The school council is made up of 12 children, two from each class from Year 1 to Year 6.
At the beginning of the autumn term, children who are interested in becoming a school councillor prepare and deliver a speech to their class on why they should be elected. Following this, the children have a secret ballot, one for boys and one for girls.
The boy and girl with the highest number of votes are elected as members.
They then work together with a member of staff to promote the issues which are important to children in school during the coming year.
Have a look back at what we did last year.
